Anticipated season, as explained by flowers
This post was inspired by the many flowers I have passed as I take my “sabb walks,” as I endearingly call the walks I’m taking on sabbatical. Being a mom and taking a break from ministry means that I don’t truly “get a break,” but these walks have been my time to rest. With my sabbatical season coming to a close, I have conglomerated a photo folder of flowers that seem to tell the story of the season better than words.
No matter how anticipated a season, each one has it’s ups and downs. I found that the flowers told a similar story. Summer comes with hope, and all good things end. But wasn’t it beautiful?
All beginnings start with a good dose of hope.
I didn’t know, gray makes the flowers glow.
In a sea of daisies, there you were, prickly and wild.
If purple poppies are real, what else?
I turned a corner and there you were, grinning at me.
Almost forbidden path, lead to a sea of you.
All good things end, a myriad of monochromatic sorrows.
All good things end, but wasn't it beautiful?
